Background
Each staff member's booking schedule was managed on a paper diary and by phone, so checking whether a given time slot was available meant asking the staff member directly. There was also no way to see how many people were waiting.

What we chose, and why it fitLaid out schedules for all staff side by side in a single weekly table
What booking staff actually needed to judge was who was free at a given time. Showing each staff member's schedule separately would have meant switching between multiple screens every time, so we made it possible to compare every staff member's open slots at once, on one screen.
